yoga
Yoga is an ancient practice that has many schools of study and applications today.
Yoga has qualities of practice that promote balance and harmony in the body; this is especially so of yogic styles such as Yin Yoga and Restorative yoga, which allow participants to find a moment of stillness and healing. Along with the two aforementioned styles of yoga, active classes, like a yoga flow, can prepare the body and condition it for daily life. It is with these considerations of life and yoga that Gil fuses together classes, themes and sequences to promote an overall balanced body and mind.
Some of the wellness benefits are listed here but not limited to: stress management, mental/emotional health, promotes healthy eating, activities and habit's, improved sleep, overall sense of wellbeing...

VINYASA FLOW YOGA Vinyasa Yoga is an active, modern style of yoga born out of the Ashtanga Yoga tradition. In Vinyasa Flow Yoga the aim is to keep deep concentration and body consciousness prominent throughout the entirety of the practice. Asanas or yoga poses are linked together in a complimentary way through the breath. For his Vinyasa Flow classes, Gil utilizes dynamic breath to movement sequencing to allow a cardiovascular stimulation as well as static postures to build endurance, stamina and longevity.
YIN YOGA Yin Yoga is a passive form of yoga that is characterized by its slower movements and holding of asanas for extended periods of time. In his Yin Yoga class, Gil utilizes the breath and body to stretch and stimulate the body's connective tissue. Most Yin Yoga poses are done reclined or seated and may be supported with props.
RESTORATIVE YOGA Restorative Yoga is a fully passive form of yoga that focuses on creating stillness and healing. It is a restful practice that allows participants to hold yoga poses for longer durations of time while supported by props such as blankets, bolsters and blocks. This practice works towards mindfulness and relaxation as a brief reset for the body and mind. In his Restorative class, Gil utilizes the opportunity of stillness to stimulate the body's natural healing ability while taking full advantage of the asana's effects on the body.
